Lee earned his PhD in the Materials Science & Metallurgy department in 2012, and worked as a postdoctoral researcher in the Unité Mixte de Physics CNRS/Thales in France, before leaving research for a career in technical communications and educational content development. His research interests included spintronics with thin-film oxides and graphene and multifunctional devices. He currently works as a Senior Content Developer for the Isaac Physics project, teaches Physics and Maths tutorials for the STEM SMART programme, and supervises undergraduates in Materials Science. In his spare time Lee is a busy live music performer.
