Visits and Webinars
Visit us in person, or take a tour online.
Churchill College offers a stunning purpose-built campus, set in 50 acres of grounds. If you can’t visit us in person, you can view a student-guided virtual tour or have questions answered in on one our our webinars.
We sometimes open our grounds to the public, providing a chance to show off our sculpture trail as well as our grounds. Follow us on our social channels to stay up to date, or contact [email protected] if you’d like to organise a group tour.
You can view information about our site’s accessibility but please contact us if you have any special requirements.
Informal visits
Prospective postgraduate and undergraduate students are welcome to visit Churchill informally, most days (including weekends), between 09:00 and 17:00.
Note that College is routinely closed to visitors each year from Easter Sunday through to the middle of June, during our “Quiet Period” surrounding exams. There may be ad hoc closures at other times too so, to avoid disappointment, please call our Porters’ Lodge on +44 (0) 1223 336000 before you plan your visit.
The College’s private areas, such as accommodation and the Libraries, are not available to drop-in visitors but you can get a great sense of the College as an environment by looking around its public spaces.
Postgraduate students should contact our Postgraduate Office, and they will be able to help you plan your visit.
Regretfully, we can’t offer individual tours for undergraduates.
If you represent a school or college and want to arrange a group visit then contact our Outreach team. And, if you want to know more about undergraduate admissions, download our pre-applicant pack.

Overnight accommodation for Open Days
If you’re an individual seeking overnight accommodation around a College or University Open Day, you can check availability at Churchill using the links on our Bed & Breakfast page. Note that this accommodation booking process will stipulate that all guests must be over 18. However, around Open Days, we can accommodate visitors of minimum age 16. Therefore, if you are 16 or 17, just mention this and the fact that you’re attending an Open Day in the Special Notes section of our booking process, so we can validate your booking.
We can often accommodate overnight school or college groups around Open Days too, at a VAT exempt rate. To check availability and pricing, email [email protected] If we have availability, you’ll need to send a full rooming list, showing the names and roles (student or staff) of each attendee. We’ll also ask you to complete a VAT exemption form and send full payment in advance. Note that overnight school or college groups must be accompanied by an appropriate number of responsible adults.
School visits
Our Outreach Officer works in the Admissions Office, heading up the College’s work in outreach and widening participation. They’re regularly out and about visiting schools and colleges, working in person with students and their supporters. They also run online resources like webinars and Q&As, to demystify university admissions and the Cambridge process in particular.
Churchill’s link areas in England are Sussex, Surrey, and the London boroughs of Merton, Sutton, and Croydon. We are also the link area College for Mid- and South-Wales, and are the proud co-authors of the University’s Applying to Cambridge from Wales webpage.
We especially welcome contact from students, teachers, and supporters at all secondary schools and colleges in these link areas. We’re always open to all inquirers however.
If you represent a school or college and want to arrange a group visit then contact our Outreach team.
