Guendalina Anzolin is a Research Associate based at the Center for Science, Technology and Innovation Policy at the Institute for Manufacturing (IfM) at the University of Cambridge. Her interests lie in technology adoption and diffusion mechanisms, studying them through the lenses of global value chains and ecosystems.
Before joining the IfM, Guendalina was a Researcher at King’s College London. She completed her PhD in Industrial Economics at the University of Urbino (Italy) in March 2021. Before the PhD, she obtained an MSc in Global Economic Governance and Policy at SOAS University of London. During her PhD, she spent a research period at the South African Research Chair in Industrial Development in Johannesburg (South Africa). Between 2020 and 2021, she was an Economic Expert in Italy’s Prime Minister’s Office.
Guendalina’s project at IfM focuses on emerging technologies’ opportunities and challenges, specifically looking at how industrial policy, both at the national and regional levels, can solve market and system failures in the innovation process.
