Shuangxi is a Professor at the School of Life Sciences, Shandong University, China. He earned his Ph.D. through a joint program between the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center and East China Normal University. Following this, he conducted postdoctoral research at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center and School of Medicine, Stanford University. His current research focuses on translational control, particularly ribosome stalling-induced ribosome-associated quality control (RQC), in the context of Drosophila development and neurodegenerative diseases.
